Thomas Panton is a founder and investor.
He started his career at Greenpeace UK, working in campaigning, fundraising, and public speaking. In 2019 he founded Festovers, the first UK company to commercialise circularity for consumer waste from events and festivals; it piloted with several of the UK's largest festivals before shutting down in 2020 when Covid-19 closed the events industry. In 2021 he founded Canopey, a platform that calculated the embedded environmental impact of materials down to the hundredth of a gram. He raised three rounds of equity for the company, including a crowdfunder backed by over 350 investors, took it through Techstars, and exited via an asset sale.
He went on to become one of the founding team at Endgame Capital, an early-stage European deep-tech VC investing in climate-denier-proof technology, and mentors founders at several leading accelerators and funds such as Techstars
Thomas has a BA in Politics and International Relations and an MSc in Climate Change and International Development from the University of East Anglia, where he studied alongside scientists at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. Before all of this he was a competitive swimmer, until an injury ended his Olympic ambitions.
